Bishop Dag Heward-Mills’ message "Victory in the backside of the desert" has really blessed me. I have listened to it about 5 times, and each time I find something new that I can apply to my life! I believe the main point I got from it is the need for integrity and success in our private lives. If you want victory in your public life, you must have victory in your private life. If you want to be prosperous openly, you need to give in private. If you want to be successful in this life, you need to seek the face of God in your closet. Good and godly habits need to be cultivated at an early age (in your youth) to be effective later on in life. I realized that the real victory of any person is not outward but in the secret place, where nobody sees.

This is what Jesus talked about with his disciples in Matthew 6 - God looks at our private life before our public life. Mat 6:6 “When you pray, go into a room alone and close the door. Pray to your Father in private. He knows what is done in private, and he will reward you.”

A few weeks ago, I started to take part in a message marathon. Our SAVED ministry shepherd in Geneva, Joséphine Amoh, strongly encouraged us to listen to messages, specifically the message “Fasting” preached by our dear Reverend Oko. So, I listened to the message and was really blessed by the word that was preached (So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17). It reminded me that my fast could reach its full effectiveness if I added prayer to it (Matthew 17:21). Moreover, hearing that fasting is an act of humility (Psalm 35:13), and that people

I thank God for the life of our Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, who as everyone can see, always believed in Church Growth. Because of that People like Rev. Oko also were found in the house of God. I believe through his Preaching and Camps he has been a blessing the young people worldwide including me.

I listened to Rev. Oko's first preaching in the year 2012 which was on Church Growth. He started by saying he feels "sorry" for our Generation. Sorry because now everything is available in our church- drums, keyboards, bass guitar etc. but we didn't have to suffer for them. But you enjoy things which you had to suffer for more, than things that are being given to you. In LCI you actually have everything you need by God's grace, but you still need to suffer for something.

This year for me is the year that I’ve decided to change things. Even if nothing is going bad, improving never hurts. Bishop’s Love God messages were just the encouragement I needed. Bishop’s base scripture was Mathew 22:36-47 which says Master which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. Bishop’s desire is for us to love the Lord in all 3 aspects.

1.) Thy Heart
Solomon was a man of many wives. In Songs of Solomon 4:7-10, he describes a woman who was probably close to his heart. When we love someone we speak well of them; we delight in making them happy. John 14:15 explains this saying if ye love me, keep my commandments. Our hearts should be so wrapped up in his love that we obey him without second thought.

I thank God for using Reverend Oko and making him such a blessing to many young people, including myself. A couple of months ago, Reverend Oko preached a message called Building the Church (the Work of An Apostle). I was greatly impacted by this message. In fact, I was shocked! In this message Reverend Oko preached about who an apostle is.

For this he gave four points: 1) An apostle is a foundation layer. Reverend Oko went on to emphasize that sometimes what we have is not much, but God wants us to bring it anyway and He will use it to build a foundation. This was really encouraging. Jesus said in Matthew 24:45-47, “Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Verily I say unto you, that he shall make him ruler over all his goods.” When the Lord comes around to check to see what you’re doing with that which He has given unto you, if you've been faithful with the little you have, He will anoint you the more, and add more unto you!
