Last Year 2011, began the Year of Reading for all LCI members. For some time now, I kept asking myself what exactly does the Lord want me to do as a Christian. I felt that the Lord was somehow going to reveal Himself to me one day in my little corner and give me exact instructions on what and what not to do. Little did I know that my answers had already been provided in the Holy Book. The only problem was that I refused to read.

In Revelation 1: 3, it says that, “Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.” This verse made me realize that the wisdom I need for my life is only in the Word of God. Therefore I have decided to read more of the Word of God and books related to the Word for wisdom and for knowledge.

It is the Word of God that prepares and equips you for service, to be what God wants you to be and to do what God wants you to do. The Bible says in 2 Timothy 2:15 that, “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” I encourage all in the Saved Church to spend more time reading and studying the Word of God.
